A-Basin and a good deed :-)

Hey everyone - Today we decided to go and check out a different resort - Arapahoe Basin (or A-Basin). Its certainly alot less "touristy" then Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone and Breckenridge! I guess you could almost call it the "poorer cousin" of the others. There is no village surrounding it so you can't stay there overnight, and no houses nearby (from what I could see anyways!). Its pretty much in the middle of nowhere, so the only way there is via car. It seems to be more a mountain for the locals to escape the glitz and glamour. The temperature was around -15 so it was cold, but the snow quality was good - you had to be pretty unlucky to hit ice there! Now all they need is more snow! The bloody weathermen got it wrong AGAIN. Less then 1 inch of snow when they were forecasting 4 inches? Sheesh - if I wake up at 6:30am tomorrow and see "No snow" in the snow report I am going be a very unhappy kort indeed. Seems the last snowstorm passed us by and the South West of the state got the 12 inches we wanted....oh well I have to learn to be more patient ;-)

Oh forgot to write in yesterdays blog - was at the gym the other day and when we got home I was emptying my bag and what do I find? An ipod shuffle! Not quite sure how it got there, but I am guessing it must have fallen in my bag as I was packing up. Anyways I ring up the Gym and tell them I found an ipod. Apparently someone reported one missing so I dropped it off at the gym today - that's gotta be good karma! Hopefully that will transform into bucketloads of powder :)

Hope everyone is well and will talk again soon!
