Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me! Well today is my birthday - 33 years old and I am still acting like a 15 year old.......actually Josie reckons its more like 12 ;-). This was my first birthday I have celebrated in winter so what more to do then snowboard?! The snow gods were kind to us again and we woke to 7 more inches of the white stuff! We were able to lay more fresh tracks - I am certainly getting my powder fix! We rode until lunch- who needs to ride after all the powder has gone (God I am such a snow snob ;-)) then headed home for a bit of R&R.
We actually live around a number of walks, so this afternoon we decided to check out on the trails. We only hiked for around 45 mins but the view are AMAZING! Check it...
I think on the days we don't snowboard we will be wandering this area a bit more! Apparently there is a bear around the area, but geez one would have to be unlucky to run into it! Its not going to stop us from exploring! This place has so much to offer and we just want to experience all of it - Backcountry here we come!
All in all a super cool birthday! Thanks to Josie for such a great day....I hope all birthdays are like this!
